What if your values, the things that matter most to you in the world, don’t like each other?
Think about it for a second. What are the top 3 most important values in your life? What makes you feel the most on purpose and 100% genuinely you and in flow?
Now, what are the situations and experiences that are the most important for you to never have? The things you’d give up a lot for, to never live through? And what are the values behind these?
Let me give you an example: What if enjoyment or joy is a big value for you? And what if something that brings you joy is eating a regular sampling of tasty sugary chocolate?
On the other hand, what if health is also on your list of values? What if being in shape and nourishing your body are things that are very important to you?
These two values are not in alignment.
And interestingly, whichever value tends to win that “to eat or not to eat chocolate” tug of war is the one that is higher up on the list for you.
Oh, you may not approve of it or consciously want it to be that way, but there it is, staring you in the face in the form of an empty KitKat wrapper.
The good news is, our guest today, Steve Wells, is an expert at helping us reorder our values using, you guessed it, some amazing tapping techniques!
In this episode he walks us through an exercise and kind of pauses at each step, to teach along the way. It’s a bit like being at a workshop and like reading the workshop excerpts in his awesome new book, 100% Yes!
It’s surprising how much easier it is to achieve your goals when they ALSO fit your values!
And it doesn’t hurt if your values no longer oppose each other either.
So let’s get down to business in this great episode with Steve Wells because uour business goals and gifts are exactly what this planet needs to heal.
Thank you for your beautiful work.
It’s the things that you do that make the most difference.
