C’mon. You’ve been there.
That moment, day, month, where you feel like “I can’t do this.” “ They’re gonna know I don’t actually know what I’m talking about.”
We’ve all told ourselves a version of this at one time or another. Taking a step forward, whether it’s a huge stride or teeny baby step, can call out this voice; this inner critic who’s job it is to tell us we’re not good enough yet.
Even veteran accomplishers get it.
Meryl Streep, who’s been nominated for more academy awards and golden globes than anyone else ever, says about making movies “You think, ‘Why would anyone want to see me again in a move? And I don’t know how to act anyway so why am I doing this?’”
You see, it’s not who we are that holds us back, it’s what we think we are not. (To quote Denis Waitley.)
How many times have you not done something because you felt like you weren’t smart enough, old enough, young enough, experienced enough, not enough, not enough, not enough?
In business, putting ourselves out there and shining our light is how we grow our income and impact.
If this imposter syndrome keeps us in the dark, the world can’t receive the healing we were born to bring.
So let’s play with this part of us who thinks we’re a fraud.
In today’s episode I do my first interview podcast with EFT and Matrix Reimprinting expert, Rob Nelson. And boy has he got some goodies for us.
He’s gonna break down imposter syndrome and lead us through some wicked tapping to help shift the feeling of inner charlatan to inner peace.
I wanted to both laugh and cry as he was leading this tapping sequence! Let’s see what gifts it has for you.
And if you want a step-by-step guide on how to look this sham-monster straight in the eye and transform it, check out this little road map here.
Let’s dive in to some imposter renovation because the more we change ourselves, the more we change the whole planet!
Congruence is the antidote to imposter syndrome. When your thoughts, feelings and body are aligned and know your incredible value, this shines through you.
